20th Edition – Chemin d'Éternité

For its 20th edition, the Rocamadour Festival celebrated two decades of sacred music under the theme "Chemin d'Éternité" (Path of Eternity). From August 15th to 26th, 2025, around thirty concerts resonated in the Saint-Sauveur Basilica, the Alzou Valley, and the heritage sites of the Dordogne Valley.

Opening Concert

On August 15th, the ensemble Vox Luminis, conducted by Lionel Meunier, opened the festival in the basilica with Bach's Mass in B minor, returning to the Rocamadour stage after their memorable performances in 2017 and 2018.

Major Concerts in the Basilica and Valley

Renaud Capuçon, a festival regular since 2019, performed on August 16th in a double recital with pianist Guillaume Bellom in a program dedicated to Brahms. On August 22nd and 23rd, the Orchestre symphonique de la Garde républicaine took over the Alzou Valley for two exceptional evenings, one dedicated to Poulenc (Litanies à la Vierge noire, Stabat Mater) and Berlioz (Symphonie Fantastique). The Orchestre Consuelo, conducted by Victor Julien-Laferrière, presented a Beethoven program with pianist Alexei Volodin.

Other Highlights

The company La Tempête by Simon-Pierre Bestion presented Rachmaninoff's Vespers in the Sainte-Marie Abbey Church on August 25th. The Tenebrae Choir, Sandrine Piau, Nikolaï Lugansky, and Félicien Brut were also among the artists of this anniversary edition.
