5th Edition — "The Game and the Self"

For its 5th edition, the Festival des 37 explored the theme "The Game and the Self", chosen collectively by the participants in the cinema-theater workshops. From December 6 to 14, 2025, the towns of the Pays de Craon hosted screenings, meetings, and live performances.

Documentary filmmaker Marion Gervais accompanied this edition as its sponsor, bringing her unique perspective and experience to the audience. Screenings of her documentaries were organized at the Espace Saint-Clément in Craon, followed by discussion sessions with the director.

Short Films by the Inhabitants

About ten short films on the theme of games and identity, written and performed by the inhabitants of the Pays de Craon, young and old, were screened during the opening and closing ceremonies. These films, the result of over a year of workshops, traveled itinerantly to the communal halls of the territory.

Program

The festival also offered a cultural lottery, the performance "Mamouche", participatory workshops, and convivial moments around cinema. The closing ceremony took place at the Salle de l'Orion in La Selle-Craonnaise.
