Festival des Châteaux dans le Jovinien

4th edition — August 24 to 31, 2025

The fourth edition of the Festival des Châteaux dans le Jovinien confirmed the event's place in the cultural landscape of the Yonne. From August 24 to 31, 2025, eight castles and historic residences in the region opened their doors to welcome the public and artists for evenings combining heritage tours, artistic expression, and conviviality.

2025 Evening Program

• Sunday, August 24 — Joigny: Opening of the festival in the central town of Jovinien, exploring its exceptional heritage.
• Monday, August 25 — Château de Cudot: Guided tour of the gardens, stables, and outbuildings of this Yonne castle, followed by a concert.
• Tuesday, August 26 — Saint-Julien-du-Sault: Heritage evening in this medieval town with a rich architectural past.
• Wednesday, August 27 — Looze: Discovery of a preserved rural residence in a rural setting.
• Thursday, August 28 — Villecien (Château du Feÿ): Tour of the 17th-century castle overlooking the Yonne valley, listed as a supplementary inventory of historic monuments.
• Friday, August 29 — Précy-sur-Vrin: Evening in this Jovinien town, between concert and historical tour.
• Saturday, August 30 — Brion: Second to last evening of the festival in a residence on the Jovinien plateau.
• Sunday, August 31 — La Celle-Saint-Cyr: Closing of the festival in this village whose church and castle have stood the test of time.

Each evening began at 7 PM, with the guided tour led by guides from the Pays d'Art et d'Histoire du Jovinien, followed by the concert or conference and a friendly reception offered to participants. Places were limited and booking was mandatory with the Joigny Tourist Office.
