The 42nd edition remains true to the spirit of its origins
The 42nd edition of the Festival du Premier Film was held in June 2025 at the Eden-Théâtre in La Ciotat. True to its mission of discovering and promoting first francophone works, the festival offered its competitions for short films and feature films — all first works — enriched by preview screenings, European films, and works shot in the PACA region.
The 2025 edition confirmed the festival's dynamism and its essential role in discovering new talents in francophone cinema. The encounters between directors, juries, and the public in the Cour du Cinéma once again brought to life the friendly spirit characteristic of this event, rooted in the very cradle of the seventh art.
