Edition 2025 — Festival du Premier Roman
33rd Edition — April 2025
The 33rd edition of the Festival du Premier Roman et des Littératures Contemporaines was held from April 24 to 27, 2025, at Le Quarante in Laval. True to its mission as a festival for readers, this edition brought together around forty authors—debut novelists and established writers—for meetings, readings, literary cafés, and literary performances.
Guest of Honor: Marie-Hélène Lafon
The 2025 edition featured Marie-Hélène Lafon as the guest of honor, a major figure in contemporary French literature, winner of the Prix Renaudot 2020 for Histoire du fils. Her presence led to fascinating discussions on writing, territory, and language.
