4th Edition — Summer 2025

The 4th edition of the Festival Les Lucioles illuminated Montauban from July 11 to August 31, 2025, confirming the growing success of this summer event that attracts an ever-larger audience each year.

Video Mapping on the Monuments

For seven weeks, every evening starting at 10 PM and until midnight, the festival's three heritage sites vibrated to the rhythm of digital projections:

  • The Notre-Dame de l'Assomption Cathedral hosted the largest and most impressive mappings of the edition, with visual creations exploring the history of Montauban and major contemporary artistic themes.
  • The Ingres Bourdelle Museum, whose complex architecture of the former episcopal palace offers multiple surfaces for projections, presented more intimate and poetic works, in dialogue with the museum's collections.
  • The Pont de Sapiac offered spectacular aquatic projections, with the reflection of images multiplying on the surface of the Tarn in striking visual effects.

Sunday Open-Air Cinema

Sunday evenings were marked by open-air cinema screenings, which brought together families and film lovers in a festive and relaxed atmosphere under the stars of the Tarn-et-Garonne summer. The programming alternated between popular films accessible to children and more demanding works for adults.

Confirmed Popular Success

Entirely free and accessible without reservation, the festival saw a significant increase in attendance for this 4th edition, confirming that Les Lucioles is now an unmissable summer event in Montauban. Word-of-mouth and regional media coverage contributed to attracting an audience from all over Tarn-et-Garonne and neighboring departments.
