Festival Lumières d'été 2025
The 2025 edition of the Festival Lumières d'été animated the medieval city of Murat and its surroundings throughout August, offering a rich program combining theater, classical music, and visual arts.
Street theater performances took over the squares of Murat's historic center, notably on August 29th, with original creations blending humor, history, and poetry. Actor Christophe Chaumette presented a show evoking the Beast of Gévaudan on the Town Hall square, transporting the audience to the heart of the 18th century.
The café-théâtre evenings in the Vabres village hall offered dinner-shows hosted by young actors from the Annecy Conservatory. The 54th concert of the Friends of Bredons, on August 10th at 5:30 PM in the Murat church, welcomed the Orchestre National d'Auvergne for an exceptional program.
Exhibitions were held at the Halle de Murat from August 5th to 23rd, allowing visitors to discover the work of contemporary artists in a remarkable heritage setting.
