Hugstein Medieval Festival 2024
The 3rd edition of the Hugstein Medieval Festival was held on June 15 and 16, 2024, at the castle ruins, at an altitude of 390 meters between Buhl and Guebwiller. Organized by the association Pro Hugstein in collaboration with the Médiévales de Gueberschwihr, this edition featured two 15th-century historical reenactment camps, demonstrations of artisanal skills, archery and crossbow shooting, medieval music and dances, as well as tales for children.
The boar roasted on a spit and the Hugstein beer, brewed by Brasserie du Merle Noir, delighted visitors. The guided tours of the castle, provided by the Club Vosgien de Guebwiller, allowed visitors to discover the history of this fortress of the prince-abbots of Murbach.
