Edition 2025 — Music and History
The 19th edition of the Festival Music and History, "Homage to Diversity," was held from July 15 to 18, 2025, at the Abbaye de Fontfroide. Artistic direction: Jordi Savall. Featuring Hespèrion XXI, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, Orpheus 21, Tembembe Ensemble Continuo, and many guest artists.
Festival Music and History 2025 — 19th Edition "Homage to Diversity"
From July 15 to 18, 2025, the Abbaye de Fontfroide hosted the 19th edition of the Festival Music and History, themed "Homage to Diversity." Under the direction of Jordi Savall, the program explored music from medieval Europe to the New World.
The ensembles Hespèrion XXI, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, and Orpheus 21 were joined by Mexico's Tembembe Ensemble Continuo and numerous international guest artists. The concerts, scheduled for 6 PM and 9:30 PM, celebrated the richness of intercultural dialogue through music.
