Edition 2025 — Festival of Heritage of Pernes
The 2025 Festival of Heritage of Pernes-les-Fontaines celebrated the forty historic fountains and the treasures of the Remarkable Heritage Site of the former capital of the Comtat Venaissin. Guided tours, animation of the Ferrande Tower and its medieval frescoes, artisan market, and Provençal folk animations enlivened the weekend.

Festival of Heritage 2025 — Pernes-les-Fontaines
As part of the 2025 European Heritage Days, Pernes-les-Fontaines opened the doors to its exceptional heritage on September 20 and 21, 2025. The event brought together residents, curious visitors, and tourists around the architectural and hydraulic treasures of the former capital of the Comtat Venaissin.
The highlight of the weekend was the visit to the Ferrande Tower and its 13th-century wall frescoes, among the oldest in Europe for a civil building. Passionate guides led visitors through the painted scenes—illustrating the lives of Pope Martin IV and Charles of Anjou—in this medieval tower, accessible only on special occasions.
A guided tour of the fountains allowed visitors to discover the forty fountains of the town, from the Gigot Fountain to the Reboul Fountain, including the basin fountains of the medieval center. Animators in traditional Comtadin costume paid tribute to this history of water that has shaped Pernes' identity for centuries.
As evening fell, an illuminated night tour highlighted the most beautiful fountains and monuments of the town, transforming the ochre sandstone alleys into a magical setting under the Provençal stars.
