Edition 2025 — Festival of the Sea of Saint-Valery
The 2025 Festival of the Sea and Sailors was held on August 9th and 10th in Saint-Valery-en-Caux. Blessing of the sea, parade of decorated boats, open-air mass, sea trips on the Schooner La Licorne, concerts, and a craft market brought together approximately 12,000 visitors at the port.
Festival of the Sea and Sailors 2025
On August 9th and 10th, 2025, the port of Saint-Valery-en-Caux vibrated to the rhythm of the Festival of the Sea and Sailors. On Saturday, a fishing competition opened the festivities at 11:15 a.m., followed by sea trips, paddleboard jousting at 4 p.m., and the male choir of Cotentin in a musical procession at 4:30 p.m. The concert by Captain Spark and Royal Company at 9:30 p.m. concluded the evening.
On Sunday, the traditional religious procession from the Sailors' Calvary led the crowd to the blessing of the fish stalls, followed by the open-air mass at Saint-Michel Calvary and the parade of decorated boats with a wreath-laying ceremony at sea. The concerts by Batucada Corcovada at 3:30 p.m. and Dùn Briste at 5 p.m. enlivened the afternoon.
