Edition 2025 — Avignon OFF
The 59th edition of the Festival OFF d'Avignon took place from July 5 to 25, 2025, simultaneously with the Festival IN. Over 1,600 shows were presented in more than 130 venues in the City of Popes by hundreds of companies from all over France and abroad. The competition for the best venues and time slots was more intense than ever in this edition, marking the eve of the 60th anniversary.

59th Edition — The Eve of the Jubilee
The 59th edition of the Festival OFF d'Avignon took place from July 5 to 25, 2025, in perfect synchronicity with the 79th edition of the Festival IN directed by Tiago Rodrigues. This annual cohabitation, which is the unique originality of Avignon in July, once again transformed the City of Popes into the world capital of performing arts.
A Remarkable Outcome
As in previous editions, the 2025 Festival OFF confirmed its status as the largest gathering of performing arts in the world. Thousands of daily performances were given in the courtyards, cellars, chapels, and theaters that make up the festival's unique network within the walled city of Avignon.
Highlights of the Village du OFF
The Village du OFF, the central space for meetings and professional exchanges, once again hosted hundreds of programmers, producers, and journalists who came to discover shows and forge partnerships. This professional market dimension is essential to the vitality of the performing arts sector in France and Europe.
The Village TADAMM!, a space dedicated to young audiences, offered a selection of shows for children and families, confirming the inclusive and popular vocation of the Festival OFF.
Humor, Dance, and Emerging Forms
The 2025 edition confirmed the major trends of the OFF: a growing place given to humor and stand-up shows, a renewed interest in forms of contemporary dance and circus, and a multiplication of hybrid creations that blur the boundaries between disciplines.
