29th edition of the Festival Polar de Cognac, from October 18 to 20, 2024. Three days of meetings, signings, screenings, debates, and exhibitions around crime fiction in all its forms. Angélina Delacroix, Vish Dhamija, and Sébastien Corbet among the winners.
29th Edition: Crime Fiction Celebrated in Cognac
The 29th edition of the Festival Polar de Cognac was held from October 18 to 20, 2024, at the Centre des Congrès La Salamandre and various venues in the town center. The program featured readings, debates, exhibitions, screenings in competition and preview, meet-and-greets, theatrical performances, and signing sessions.
Among the many novelists present were Christian Blanchard, Angélina Delacroix, Sylvain Forge, René Manzor, Gabriel Katz, and Estelle Tharreau. On the comic strip side, Sébastien Corbet, André Le Bras, and Philippe Tomblaine met the public.
The winners of this edition were: Angélina Delacroix (Best French-language novel for “Mémoires d'un expert psychiatre”), Vish Dhamija (Best International Novel for “Le Magnat”), and Sébastien Corbet (Best One-Shot Comic Album for “Au nom du fils”).
