An eco-festival in the heart of Tarn

Nestled in the heart of the Parc du Château du Vergnet, in Moularès, Tarn, the Graines de Nature festival is an invitation to reconnect with nature, biodiversity, and sustainable know-how. Organized every spring in late May, this free and family-friendly eco-festival is part of the national Fête de la Nature (Nature Festival), a label supported by the Noé association to raise public awareness of the richness of life.

Nature walks and discovery of living things

Throughout the two days of the festival, naturalists, botanists, and nature guides offer guided walks in the gardens and woods of the Vergnet estate, inviting visitors to observe wild plants, pollinating insects, birds, and fungi. These nature outings, accessible to all ages, provide a better understanding of the local flora and fauna of the Tarn, and the challenges of their preservation in the context of a biodiversity crisis.

Organic producers and artisans of life

Graines de Nature hosts a market of organic producers and artisans committed to an ecological approach: organic market gardeners, herbalists, beekeepers, seed savers, creators of objects made from natural materials. It's an opportunity to interact directly with men and women who work daily for environmentally friendly agriculture and crafts in the Tarn.

Workshops and activities for the whole family

Throughout the weekend, participatory workshops allow young and old to learn the practices of a naturalist gardener: identifying edible wild plants, building insect shelters, learning nature drawing, creating heritage seeds, and forest land art. These activities combine education, creativity, and wonder in a bucolic setting.

Château du Vergnet, a green setting

The Château du Vergnet and its park are a remarkable natural site on the outskirts of Moularès. Its wooded park, tree-lined avenues, and gardens offer an ideal setting for a festival dedicated to nature. Moularès is a commune in the Tarn (canton of Villefranche-d'Albigeois), integrated into a landscape of hills and meadows typical of the Pays Cordais. The site is easily accessible from Albi and surrounding towns.

Labeled Fête de la Nature

The Graines de Nature festival is officially labeled Fête de la Nature by the Noé association, which coordinates thousands of free events across France every year in late May to celebrate and protect biodiversity. This label guarantees the scientific and educational quality of the activities offered and anchors the festival within a national network of nature advocates.
