Supported by a collective of about ten volunteers, the "Tchouk'Ami.e.s", this family-friendly and festive festival offers multidisciplinary shows combining juggling, circus, puppetry, clowning, music, tightrope walking, Chinese pole, acrobatic lifts, and balancing acts. On a tree-lined site by the river, the festival highlights young talent and promotes contemporary artistic forms in rural areas.
The Tchouk'Art Festival was born from the energy of the Compagnie Alea Jacta Est and its volunteer collective, the "Tchouk'Ami.e.s". Located in Mureils, a small village in the Drôme des Collines, this circus and street arts festival has become a must-attend event for contemporary creation in rural areas.
Tchouk'Art's stated goal is to give visibility to young talent and promote contemporary and circus creation. By programming emerging artists, the festival encourages artistic diversity and contributes to the cultural enrichment of the rural Drôme region. The disciplines represented are numerous: object juggling, circus, puppetry, clowning, music, tightrope walking, Chinese pole, acrobatic lifts, and hand balancing.
The festival takes place over two days in August, on a tree-lined site by the river, offering an idyllic natural setting. Friday evening (7 PM - midnight) kicks off the festivities with shows and a circus cabaret. Saturday (1:30 PM - midnight) offers a full afternoon and evening of performances, concerts, batucadas, and DJ sets.
