Centenary of the Commune Libre de Saint-André – 2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the Commune Libre de Saint-André festival has made history: on July 26th and 27th, 2025, the Saint-André district of Joigny celebrated the centenary of the association, founded in 1925. One hundred years of parades, dances, solidarity, and conviviality, honored by an exceptional edition on the Boulevard Lesire Lacam.
The program delivered on all its promises: on Saturday, July 26th, concerts kicked off at 6:30 PM before the grand evening float parade at 8:30 PM, illuminated by the spectacular performances of fire-eaters and punctuated by the cheers of spectators lining the sidewalks. The Queen of the Commune Libre and her court paraded with splendor in their ceremonial attire. On Sunday, July 27th, the flea market animated the boulevard from dawn, followed by the neighborhood mass at 10:30 AM, daytime concerts, the afternoon float parade at 3:30 PM, and a festive karaoke evening. The fair and children's games completed this memorable weekend, a living testament to a century of Joigny tradition.
