Fête de la Coquille Saint-Jacques
2025
Edition 2025 — Finished
Edition 2025 — Coquille Saint-Jacques
16th Edition — March 22 and 23, 2025
The 16th edition of the Fête de la Coquille Saint-Jacques took place on March 22 and 23, 2025, at Place Mure-Ravaud and Espace de la Coupole in Villard-de-Lans. For this anniversary edition, 43 tons of scallops were transported overnight from the bay of Saint-Brieuc by about forty fishing boats.
Tastings and Culinary Creations
About forty top chefs from the Dauphiné region offered their scallop creations in the tasting chalets set up on the square. Visitors could discover original recipes ranging from scallop carpaccio to creative verrines, including the now-famous scallop burger.
Musical Entertainment and Fest-Noz
The musical program featured Breton bands, street brass bands, jazz, and sea shanties throughout the weekend. On Saturday evening, a grand fest-noz brought together hundreds of dancers under the Coupole, in an atmosphere blending traditional Breton music and Celtic rock.
A Confirmed Popular Success
With nearly 30,000 visitors over the two days, the 16th edition confirmed the Fête de la Coquille Saint-Jacques' status as one of the major gastronomic events in Isère and the Vercors massif.
