Six days of celebration in Chateaurenard
The 2024 edition of the Fete de la Madeleine took place from Friday, August 2nd to Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 in Chateaurenard. On Sunday, August 4th at 11 am, the corso of the Carreto Ramado featured the parade of the immense float decorated with 3,000 red gladioli, pulled by 60 draft horses, carrying the bust of Marianne to the sound of La Marseillaise.
The bandidos and abrivados roamed the village streets, Camargue bullfights were held in the arenas, and a bullfight concluded the bullfighting program. The evenings were enlivened by the bodegas on Cours Carnot, with concerts and DJs, while the funfair and petanque competitions set the pace for the days. Fireworks lit up the festival.
