Fête de la Mer 2025
The Fête de la Mer 2025 takes place on August 9th and 10th in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme.
On Saturday, August 9th, the festival begins at 2 PM with an exhibition of fire brigade equipment on the Place des Pilotes, followed at 7 PM by the traditional mussels and fries dinner organized by the firefighters, and then a dance party with DJ Logan.
On Sunday, August 10th, mass is celebrated at 11 AM at the Saint-Pierre Chapel, followed at noon by a musical lunch with the band Long John Silver (festive sea shanties). At 2:45 PM, the blessing of the boats takes place aboard the Charcot, followed by a musical procession from Place Guillaume Le Conquérant to the Courtgain district. At 5 PM, a concert by the band Just'In (bluegrass, country, and Irish folk).
