Edition 2025 — Fête de la Meunerie
The 2025 Fête de la Meunerie took place from June 7th to 9th in Nieul-sur-l'Autise. Over 700 reenactors in period costumes recreated a 1920s French village around the working mill, featuring demonstrations of old crafts, a communal school, a traditional market, village band music, and local Vendée cuisine.
Fête de la Meunerie — June 7-9, 2025
On June 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2025, the village of Nieul-sur-l'Autise transformed into an authentic 1920s village. Over 700 volunteers and reenactors in period costumes animated a vivid and striking recreation of rural Vendée life in the early 20th century for three days. The Autise mill was running at full capacity, millers explained their craft, artisans demonstrated their forgotten skills, and the village orchestra made visitors dance under the lime trees in the square. A particularly successful edition under generous Vendée sunshine.
