41st Fête de la Myrtille - 2025 Edition

The 41st edition of the Fête de la Myrtille was held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Col du Béal, at an altitude of 1,390 meters on the ridge line of the Monts du Forez.

Organized by the Collectif Myrtille Sauvage du Forez, this free day brought together thousands of visitors around the wild blueberry. The market of producers and artisans featured about 60 exhibitors offering fresh blueberries, jams, syrups, artisanal beers, cheeses, cured meats, and artisanal creations from the Forez region.

The Jurajali show, combining juggling and poetry, delighted the audience twice during the day. Four guided botanical walks allowed visitors to discover the remarkable flora of the pastures, while children made blueberry tartlets with chef Jean-François Fafournoux. The culinary competition awarded the best blueberry-based dishes during the prize-giving ceremony at 4 pm.

The educational farm with goats, llamas, rabbits, and pigs, craft demonstrations by a spinner, luthier, and papermaker, wooden games, and a pedal-powered carousel completed a rich program for all ages. The Magmatik Brass Band provided musical entertainment throughout the afternoon.
