9th Transhumance Festival (2024)
The 9th edition of the Transhumance Festival took place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Domaine de Rochemure in Jaujac. The day brought together families and nature lovers around the pastoral tradition of Ardèche.
The program offered family entertainment with wooden games, carriage rides, and a mini-farm. Sheepdog and sheep shearing demonstrations allowed visitors to discover the daily work of shepherds. The producers' market featured local Ardèche specialties, and a lamb meal was served by the breeders.
The highlight of the day was the departure of the flock towards the Tanargue summer pastures in the late afternoon, accompanied by the shepherds and visitors.
