Fête de la Vapeur 2021 and 50 years of CFBS
The 2021 edition of the Fête de la Vapeur had a particularly historic character, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme simultaneously. On July 3 and 4, 2021, steam locomotives from France and Europe converged on the Baie de Somme network for a weekend of celebration and commemoration.
Half a century after the preservation of this metre-gauge network by a handful of enthusiasts, the Fête de la Vapeur recalled the journey undertaken and the importance of this living railway heritage.
