Fête du Port d'Auvillar — August 15th, 2025

On August 15th, 2025, the banks of the Garonne in Auvillar hosted a new edition of the Fête du Port, the unmissable mid-August popular event in this village classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.

From the afternoon onwards, the gourmet market brought together producers and food artisans from Tarn-et-Garonne on the port's quays, offering visitors the best local flavors: summer fruits, country preserves, cheeses, charcuterie, and Quercy wines. The food trucks complemented the catering offer with grills and summer specialties, creating the atmosphere of a large picnic by the river.

The pétanque tournament brought together many teams in good spirits and the sporting tradition of the South. The bandas paraded along the banks and through the streets descending from the village, their brass instruments echoing over the Garonne. The evening ended beautifully with the fireworks launched over the river, their reflections illuminating the calm waters of the Garonne under the amazed gaze of the spectators gathered on the banks and the heights of the village.
