Edition 2025 — Fêtes de Gayant

The 2025 edition of the Fêtes de Gayant was held from July 5 to 13 in Douai, with an exceptional event: the passage of the Tour de France through the city on Sunday, July 6. The Gayant family paraded through the streets for the Grand Cortège, accompanied by the Sot des Canonniers and the Roue de la Fortune.

Fêtes de Gayant 2025

The 2025 edition of the Fêtes de Gayant was marked by an exceptional event: the passage of the Tour de France in Douai on Sunday, July 6. The Gayant family emerged from the Maison des Géants at 7:30 AM, followed by the Tour caravan at 10:15 AM and the cyclists around noon.

The Grand Cortège started at 3 PM from rue d'Esquerchin with the complete Gayant family. On Monday, July 7, children were in the spotlight with the Bal des Tiots Gayant from 6 PM to 9 PM in the courtyard of the Town Hall. The torchlight procession on Sunday, July 13, concluded the festivities.

  • Tuesday, July 8: Procession and return of the giants
  • Sunday, July 13: Torchlight procession and lanterns (9:30 PM)
