Edition 2024 — Fêtes Latino-Mexicaines

Fêtes Latino-Mexicaines 2024
The 2024 edition of the Fêtes Latino-Mexicaines animated Barcelonnette and the Ubaye Valley from August 8 to 17, 2024. For ten days, the town vibrated to the rhythm of mariachis, folk dances, and Latin American culture.
The festival hosted the folk ensemble Fiestas de México with parades through the streets and shows on Place Manuel. The group Danza Prehispánica Tonatiuh offered spectacular performances celebrating the elements—fire, water, wind, and earth. The Mariachi Tierra Querida enchanted the audience with evening concerts.
The "¡Viva el sombrero!" day brought together locals and visitors in Parc de la Sapinière for a grand festive parade. Workshops for making piñatas, traditional Mexican cooking (tacos de pescado and chile en nogada), and salsa classes punctuated the week. Festivities extended to Jausiers and Saint-Vincent-les-Forts with shows at the lake and on the beach.
