Edition 2025 — Fêtes Latino-Mexicaines

The 2025 edition of the Fêtes Latino-Mexicaines took place from August 7 to 15 in Barcelonnette and the Ubaye Valley. Nine days of festivities with mariachis, Mexican folk ballets, Aztec processions, Cuban evenings, Latin dance classes, and workshops for the whole family.

Fêtes Latino-Mexicaines 2025

The 2025 edition of the Fêtes Latino-Mexicaines took place from August 7 to 15, 2025 in Barcelonnette and several towns in the Ubaye Valley: Jausiers, Le Sauze, Le Lauzet-Ubaye, and Faucon-de-Barcelonnette.

The festivities began on Thursday, August 7, in Jausiers with a performance by the folk ensemble Fiesta de México at the lake, followed by a show on Place Saint-Nicolas-de-Myre. On Friday, August 8, the folk ballet paraded through the streets of Barcelonnette, passing through Place Valle de Bravo, Place Saint-Pierre, and Rue Manuel, before a grand show on Place Manuel.

Saturday, August 9, was marked by the "¡Viva el sombrero!" day in Parc de la Sapinière, with sales and games starting at 9 a.m., followed by performances by the folk ballet and the group Danza Prehispánica Tonatiuh, and then an evening concert on Place Manuel. The following days offered salsa classes, mariachi concerts, Cuban evenings with Cuarteto Cubano, and creative workshops for children (Huichol art, piñatas).

The festivities concluded on Friday, August 15, with a salsa class in the morning on Place Valle de Bravo, musical entertainment in the afternoon, and a closing concert by the group Tumbalé at 9 p.m. on Place Manuel.
