On June 24, 2025, the Saint-Jean bonfires were lit in many communes of the Bas-Rhin, perpetuating this ancestral Alsatian tradition. In Sélestat and the surrounding villages, residents gathered to witness the lighting of the Johanesfir and participate in the traditional summer solstice rituals.
