Communal Festival of Saint-Léger-Vauban 2025

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the village of Saint-Léger-Vauban (89630) celebrated its annual communal festival, a traditional autumn event in this Morvan village, the birthplace of the famous Marshal Vauban. Organized by the local festival committee, this 2025 edition brought together inhabitants and visitors in the warm atmosphere of village festivals in the Yonne, at a time when the Morvan forests are adorned with their most beautiful autumn colors.

Popular activities, generous catering with autumn flavors of Burgundy's terroir, and conviviality were on the agenda for this festive day that perpetuates the village's communal tradition. The Maison Vauban and the Saint-Léger church, the village's heritage centers, reminded everyone of the exceptional historical dimension of this village that for a long time bore the name Saint-Léger-de-Foucheret before honoring its most illustrious son in 1867.
