Fête de la Madeleine 2025 in Sainpuits

From July 19th to 21st, 2025, Sainpuits (89520) once again vibrated to the rhythm of its great patronal festival, the Fête de la Madeleine. Three days of intense festivities brought together residents, families, and visitors from all over Puisaye-Forterre around the fairground attractions that took over the village all weekend.

The highlight of the show took place on the evening of Saturday, July 19th: at 9:00 PM, the torchlight procession illuminated the streets of Sainpuits in a warm and participatory procession. Then, at 11:00 PM, the grand fireworks display, launched from the bell tower of the church dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene, offered an exceptional pyrotechnic spectacle. Thousands of spectators from across the department witnessed this magical moment, confirming the reputation of these fireworks as one of the most beautiful in Puisaye. The night continued with a dance party hosted by Guillaume Adrien, which extended the celebration into the early hours of the morning.

Sunday, July 20th, began at dawn with the traditional Madeleine flea market, which opened its doors at 7:00 AM. Bargain hunters, strollers, and the curious filled the stalls in search of treasures and forgotten objects. At 11:00 AM, the Saint-Hubert mass brought the community together in the village church, a moment of reflection and connection with the patronal tradition. In the late afternoon, at 6:30 PM, the band Celtifort'air—a festive, danceable, and humorous Celtic music group—enchanted the village square with a concert full of energy and good cheer.

Monday, July 21st, concluded the 2025 edition on a family and poetic note: children's games began at 4:00 PM, with free carousel rides for the winners, followed by a balloon release at 6:00 PM, marking the end of this wonderful edition. See you in 2026!
