Fête de la Musique 2025 in Auxerre — June 21st in Music
On Saturday, June 21st, 2025, Auxerre celebrated the Fête de la Musique throughout the city. From the late afternoon onwards, the streets of the historic center resonated with the sounds of dozens of musical groups: students from the Conservatoire du Grand Auxerrois, local amateur bands, orchestras, choirs, and professional ensembles from the region.
The main districts of Auxerre – the medieval center, the banks of the Yonne, the squares, and the parvises – hosted improvised stages and concerts of all kinds: rock, jazz, classical, world music, folk, contemporary music. The city's bars and restaurants also participated by hosting musicians on their terraces. Entry everywhere was free and open, in the tradition of June 21st.
