Edition 2025 — Fête de la Véraison
For its 40th anniversary, the 2025 Fête de la Véraison brought together over 15,000 visitors in Châteauneuf-du-Pape from August 1st to 3rd. Thirteen medieval troupes, 100 stands of the appellation's wines, knight fights, a procession by the Brotherhood of Wine, and nocturnal fire shows marked this exceptional edition.

Fête de la Véraison 2025 — The 40th Anniversary
From August 1st to 3rd, 2025, Châteauneuf-du-Pape celebrated the 40th anniversary of its emblematic festival with an exceptional program. Three days of medieval and wine revelry filled the narrow streets of the Provençal village, attracting over 15,000 visitors.
Thirteen historical reenactment troupes from all over France animated the village in period costumes: equestrian jousts, knight fights, court dances, juggling, and medieval music created a unique atmosphere. The nocturnal shows with fire-eaters and illuminations of the papal castle ruins concluded each evening in style.
On the gastronomic front, the wine estates of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC appellation offered their vintages at over a hundred stands, alongside producers of Provençal specialties. The Véraison Procession organized by the Wine Brotherhood brought together members in ceremonial attire for the traditional blessing of the vines, a spiritual and convivial highlight of the festival.
Programme
2025 Program (40th Anniversary)
- Friday, August 1st: Festival opening at 6 PM, inaugural parade of medieval troupes, musical evening, and first fire show.
- Saturday, August 2nd: Medieval entertainment from 10 AM to 11 PM, artisan demonstrations, knight fights, procession of the Wine Brotherhood, grand nocturnal show.
- Sunday, August 3rd: Medieval entertainment from 10 AM to 10 PM, producers' market, jousts and activities for children, closing show.
