Dancing party, cancan and fireworks at Parc Robinson for July 14th
The town of Asnières-sur-Seine celebrates July 14th starting on the evening of July 13th at Parc Robinson, on the banks of the Seine. The program includes: a dancing party with DJ sets, live musicians, a French cancan show, and a grand fireworks display at 11 PM. A popular and friendly celebration, free and accessible to all, with food trucks on site.
The town of Asnières-sur-Seine, a commune in the Hauts-de-Seine with a rich impressionist past—Seurat, Van Gogh, and Caillebotte painted its Seine banks—celebrates the National Day each year in an exceptional natural setting: Parc Robinson, on the banks of the Docteur Dervaux along the Seine. The evening, traditionally organized on July 13th, brings together thousands of residents and visitors for a night of republican celebration.
From 6 PM, Parc Robinson comes alive with a dancing party hosted by DJ sets, musicians, and various entertainment. The atmosphere is that of a large open-air guinguette, with its lanterns, tricolor decorations, and the characteristic conviviality of French popular festivals.
One of the evening's highlights is the French Cancan show, a direct reference to the tradition of French popular balls and the cultural heritage of the 19th century, when Parisian cabarets entertained everyone from Paris to its suburbs. Dancers in period costumes offer a colorful performance that delights the crowd before the grand pyrotechnic finale.
Selected food trucks offer a variety of specialties—French cuisine, international flavors, desserts, and drinks—so that families and groups of friends can spend the entire evening on site without having to leave for food. This gastronomic dimension contributes to the festive atmosphere and extends the conviviality beyond the fireworks.
At precisely 11 PM, the fireworks light up the sky of Parc Robinson and reflect in the waters of the Seine. Fired from the banks or from the water itself, the pyrotechnic display is visible from both sides of the river. The proximity of the firing site and the natural configuration of the park offer an immersive visual and auditory experience that leaves spectators enchanted.
Asnières-sur-Seine, by choosing July 13th instead of the 14th, follows the French tradition of many communes that anticipate the National Day to extend this moment of shared communion across France.
The relationship between Asnières-sur-Seine and its river is at the heart of the town's identity. In the 19th century, the Seine banks of Asnières were a favorite spot for Parisians to stroll, immortalized by the Impressionists in canvases that now tour the world. Celebrating the National Day by the Seine is also a way to pay homage to this history and intangible heritage that make Asnières unique in the Parisian suburbs.
The 2026 National Day celebration in Asnières-sur-Seine will be held on July 13th at Parc Robinson with a dancing party, a show, and fireworks at 11 PM on the banks of the Seine. Free admission for all.
The town of Asnières-sur-Seine is renewing its National Day celebration for 2026 at Parc Robinson. The evening of July 13th will once again feature musical entertainment, a show, and grand fireworks by the Seine. The detailed program will be announced by the town hall closer to the event.
