Foire aux Harengs 2024
The Foire aux Harengs de Louviers once again celebrated the great tradition of Norman herring in November 2024. The streets of the town center were adorned with the characteristic aromas of herring grilled over embers and smoked with beechwood.
Producers and fishmongers from the Norman coast offered their specialties: smoked, grilled, marinated, and kippered herring, accompanied by regional products from Eure. The "biggest herring eater" competition once again caused a sensation, attracting brave contestants and an enthusiastic crowd.
