Edition 2024 — Foire aux Harengs

The 2024 edition of the Foire aux Harengs de Louviers brought together thousands of lovers of Norman gastronomy around smoked, grilled, and marinated herring, in a festive and friendly atmosphere in the heart of the town center.

Foire aux Harengs 2024

The Foire aux Harengs de Louviers once again celebrated the great tradition of Norman herring in November 2024. The streets of the town center were adorned with the characteristic aromas of herring grilled over embers and smoked with beechwood.

Producers and fishmongers from the Norman coast offered their specialties: smoked, grilled, marinated, and kippered herring, accompanied by regional products from Eure. The "biggest herring eater" competition once again caused a sensation, attracting brave contestants and an enthusiastic crowd.
