Fourth edition: piano meets the sea
From May 24 to 26, 2024, the Musée des Impressionnismes in Giverny hosted the fourth edition of the Piano Festival, resonating with the exhibition 'Impressionism and the Sea'. Four recitals marked this exceptional musical weekend.
Jean-Baptiste Fonlupt opened the festival with a program exploring the correspondences between music and seascapes. Vanessa Wagner, artistic director and founder of the festival, offered a surprise recital blending classical repertoire and contemporary pieces. Philippe Cassard, a renowned interpreter of Debussy and Schubert, delivered a recital of great emotional intensity. Einav Yarden, an Israeli-German pianist, closed the edition with a program combining virtuosity and sensitivity.
