25th Edition — Grésiblues 2025

For its quarter-century, Grésiblues offered an exceptional program from June 29 to July 4, 2025, with six free evenings in six towns of the Grésivaudan. Two concerts per evening enlivened this festive week, mixing blues, soul, blues-rock, and funk before a loyal and enthusiastic audience.

Opening Night — Le Touvet (Sunday, June 29)

The festival opened its doors in Le Touvet with Luc Blackstone (8:30 PM), a French blues-rock guitarist and singer with overflowing energy, followed by The Buttshakers (10:00 PM), a key Lyonnais band on the French soul and R&B scene, led by the powerful voice of Ciara Thompson.

Barraux (Monday, June 30)

The second evening featured La Bedoune (8:30 PM), a regional band with blues tinged with rock, and the Marjorie Martinez Blues Band (10:00 PM), led by singer and guitarist Marjorie Martinez, a rising star in French blues.

Le Cheylas (Tuesday, July 1)

American blues took center stage with Jim Roberts (8:30 PM), an American bluesman based in France with an authentic and deep style, then Blue Deal (10:00 PM), a German electric blues duo with a raw and powerful sound, a revelation of the European blues scene.

Bernin (Wednesday, July 2)

Time for discoveries with Léo Benmass (8:30 PM), a young French blues talent, and Circle of Mud (10:00 PM), a French blues-rock band with heavy riffs and implacable grooves.

Montbonnot-Saint-Martin (Thursday, July 3)

The penultimate evening hosted Doc Lou & The Roosters (8:30 PM), a band rooted in early blues, followed by Bywater Call (10:00 PM), a Canadian blues-rock and southern rock band led by Meghan Bravener, whose vocal harmonies and stage energy captivated the audience.

Closing Night — Crolles (Friday, July 4)

The festival concluded spectacularly in Crolles with Noa & The Hell Drinkers (8:30 PM), an explosive French rock-blues combo, followed by the Chicago Blues Summer Tour 2025 (10:00 PM) bringing together three living legends of Chicago blues: Mike Wheeler, a guitarist and singer with incandescent playing, Russ Green, a virtuoso harmonica player, and Peaches Staten, a singer with a monumental soul voice.

Music Workshops

Alongside the concerts, the week of workshops at the Collège La Pierre Aiguille in Le Touvet hosted dozens of amateur musicians, supervised by Ian Giddey (Barefoot Iano) and his team of professionals. The students performed as opening acts for the evening concerts each night at 7:30 PM.
