22nd Edition: Guitar in All Its Forms

The 22nd edition of the Guitare Vallée Festival took place from January 16 to February 2, 2025, in several towns of the Gier Valley. True to its multidisciplinary spirit, the festival offered about twenty events celebrating guitar in all its diversity.

Among the highlights of this edition, students from the guitar classes of the partner conservatories of Rive-de-Gier, Saint-Chamond, Saint-Étienne, and Roanne performed in concerts blending classical repertoire and contemporary creations. The national classical guitar competition, organized in partnership with the Saint-Chamond conservatory, once again showcased promising young talents.

Professional concerts in various styles—blues, rock, jazz, folk, swing, and world music—marked the evenings at Salle Jean Dasté in Rive-de-Gier, at the MJC of Saint-Chamond, and in the media libraries of the Itinérances network. Exhibitions, documentary screenings about guitar, and open stages accessible to all amateur guitarists completed the program.
