5th edition: the festival confirms its success

The 5th edition of the Hashtag Festival took place on 18 and 19 October 2025 at Ainterexpo in Bourg-en-Bresse, confirming its status as the flagship geek and pop culture event in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Over 60 national and international guests shared their passion with visitors across seven themed zones.

The cosplay contest, with its regional selection for the Coupe de France, was once again one of the weekend's highlights, with over 3,000 euros in prizes and vouchers up for grabs. The retro gaming area, esports tournaments, lightsaber combat workshops and panels on Japanese animation kept the energy high throughout both festive days.

Programme 2025

• Saturday 18 October: Doors open at 10am. Manga workshops, indie video games, retro gaming, martial arts demonstrations, K-pop karaoke. Cosplay contest and parade in the afternoon. Closes at 7pm.
• Sunday 19 October: Doors open at 10am. Panels on internet safety and Japanese animation, origami and balloon sculpting workshops, regional selection for the Coupe de France de Cosplay. Closes at 6pm.
