Mixed Team World Championship at the Castle

The Highland Games of Bressuire 2024 hosted a mixed team world championship within the castle grounds, bringing together the best European and international athletes. The Czech Republic won the overall ranking, ahead of Great Britain and Germany, in a very high-level competition.

The weight for height championship saw Vladimir Tulacek (Czech Republic) win among the men with a throw of 5.41 meters, while Stéphanie Frey won the women's title with 4.80 meters. The caber, hammer, stone, and weight events attracted a large crowd, accompanied by pipe bands and demonstrations of Scottish and Irish dances.
