Edition 2024 — Itinerary Baroque

The 23rd edition of Itinerary Baroque in Périgord took place from late July to early August 2024 with 6 days of concerts, 40 performances in 10 heritage sites. The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir performed Bach's St. John Passion at the Saint-Astier church for Ton Koopman's 80th birthday.

23rd Edition

The 23rd edition of Itinerary Baroque took place from late July to early August 2024 in 10 heritage sites in Périgord Vert. The summer began with Molière's Les Femmes Savantes, followed by the opening concert by the ensemble Les Surprises directed by Louis-Noël Bestion de Camboulas, immersing the audience in Monteverdi's Venice.

The highlight of the edition was the performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's St. John Passion by the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir under the direction of Ton Koopman, who was celebrating his 80th birthday, in the church of Saint-Astier. The Christmas concert on December 28th in Verteillac featured the ensemble Scherzi Musicali directed by Nicolas Achten.
