Edition 2025 — Jazz au Sommet
19th edition of Jazz au Sommet. Ten days of musical vibrations in the heart of Pilat, from September 4 to 14, 2025, with 14 concerts blending regional emerging jazz and international influences in the villages of Saint-Genest-Malifaux, Marlhes, Saint-Régis-du-Coin, and Saint-Sauveur-en-Rue.
19th Edition — September 4 to 14, 2025
For its 19th edition, Jazz au Sommet offered ten days of musical vibrations in the heart of the Pilat Regional Natural Park, with a rich and eclectic program blending regional talents from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and international influences. 14 concerts highlighted artists from Brazil, Africa, and Europe in the villages of Haut Pilat.
Headliner: Hugh Coltman
British singer and musician Hugh Coltman, a jazz-rock crooner already noted at Jazz à Vienne, was the headliner for this edition. He presented his latest album Good Grief during the festival's main evening on Friday, September 5, at the Cinéma Jules Verne in Saint-Genest-Malifaux, accompanied by Moustik Haterz, winners of the Tremplin Jazz au Sommet.
Concerts and Artists
The program highlighted emerging jazz with groups like ElliAVIR (project by Lou Rivaille, winner of the Tremplin ReZZo Jazz à Vienne 2022), Equinox Trio, Yilian Cañizares Résilience Trio (Afro-Cuban jazz), the group Chacun son Sud in Saint-Sauveur-en-Rue, the duo Vincent Forestier and Jules Regard with David Bressat French Connection & Guest in Marlhes, the Duo Miral, the Violons de Bruxelles, and the Duo Esquinas / Florent Hermet at the Chapelle de Rosey.
Jazz and Nature
The festival featured its traditional Jazz Panoramiques hikes in the Pilat summits, the Sommet Swing (open-air dance evening), and Jazz & Nature sessions combining yoga and music against the backdrop of the massif's panoramas.
