2024 season of the Joutes Nautiques de Brantôme. The Vivaldi and Marco Polo teams competed every Friday evening in summer on the Dronne in front of the abbey, before an interruption in August due to cyanobacteria proliferation.

Joutes Nautiques 2024
The 2024 season of the Joutes Nautiques de Brantôme began on July 5th with the traditional Friday evening contests at 9 PM on the Dronne, in front of the abbey. The teams from the Vivaldi and Marco Polo boats provided the spectacle throughout the summer.
However, the season was marked by the cancellation of the jousts in August due to the proliferation of cyanobacteria in the Dronne — a first in the event's over 40-year history. The jousting club was forced to suspend performances until the water quality improved.
