Sixth edition: five days of tango in the heart of the Pays de Redon
The 6th edition of L'Abrazo de la Vilaine took place from September 25 to 29, 2024, at the P'tit Théâtre Notre-Dame in Redon and in several towns in the Pays de Redon. The rich and varied program allowed tango enthusiasts and the curious alike to immerse themselves in Argentine culture.
The festival offered activities in the libraries of the intercommunal network (Redon, Béganne, Fégréac) starting on Wednesday, with introductions to Argentine tango and singing workshops. On Thursday, an original karaoke milonga kicked off the festivities at the P'tit Théâtre. Friday was marked by a music and dance show followed by a welcome milonga hosted by DJ Pablo Montanelli. Saturday, the highlight of the festival, featured a milonga at the market in Redon, a tango escenario workshop, an afternoon milonga with DJ El Doble, and a grand evening milonga with DJ Sebastián Ovejero accompanied by a piano set by Pablo Montanelli. On Sunday, a convivial asado and a closing milonga concluded this successful edition.
