Edition 2024 — La Baule Festival

The 10th edition of the La Baule Festival of Film Music was held from June 26 to 30, 2024, celebrating a decade of existence. The jury, chaired by Franck Dubosc, awarded the Grand Prix for Best Film to Le Roman de Jim by Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu. Claude Lelouch received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his career, accompanied by a concert dedicated to the music from his films.

10th Edition — A Decade of Cinema and Film Music

The La Baule Festival of Film Music celebrated its tenth anniversary from June 26 to 30, 2024, with a rich and festive program. The jury, chaired by actor and director Franck Dubosc, accompanied by Samuel Le Bihan, Audrey Dana, Ludovic Bource, and Leslie Médina, watched the films in competition at the Palais des Congrès Atlantia.

Awards

The Grand Prix for Best Film was awarded to Le Roman de Jim by Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu. Dan Levy received the Award for Best Film Score for Pendant ce temps sur Terre by Jérémy Clapin. Gabriel Yared was honored with the Award for Best Film Score of the Year for L'Amour et les Forêts by Valérie Donzelli. The Award for Best Performance was jointly given to Jean-Pascal Zadi and Raphaël Quenard for Pourquoi tu souris ?. The Award for Best Short Film went to Allez ma fille by Chloé Jouannet. The Groupe Barrière Audience Award recognized Le Fil by Daniel Auteuil. The Award for Best Musical Documentary was given to Il était une fois Michel Legrand by David Hertzog Dessites.

Tribute to Claude Lelouch

Claude Lelouch received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his entire career—the second time he has been honored at the La Baule festival, after the very first edition in 2014. A special concert celebrated the music from his films, featuring the unforgettable themes from Un homme et une femme, Vivre pour vivre, and Les Uns et les Autres. Vincent Delerm was also among the guests for this anniversary edition.
