Edition 2024 — La Trace Impériale
First edition of La Trace Impériale in Brienne-le-Château. The event offered marked VTT routes of 25 and 45 km through the Champagne countryside, a 15 km hiking trail, and a discovery walk, all on the Napoleonic theme. Organized by the VTT Rand'Orient club starting from the imperial city.
1st Edition — Birth of La Trace Impériale
The first edition of La Trace Impériale took place on Sunday, September 29, 2024, starting from Brienne-le-Château, the imperial city of the Aube department. Organized by the VTT Rand'Orient club, this inaugural event allowed participants to discover the paths and trails of the Champagne countryside, following in the footsteps of Napoleon Bonaparte.
For this first edition, two marked VTT routes were offered: a 25 km circuit accessible to all levels and a 45 km sporting circuit for experienced mountain bikers. Hikers could take a 15 km walking trail through the valleys and woods surrounding Brienne-le-Château. The event took place in a friendly atmosphere, with refreshments on the routes and entertainment at the finish village.
This first edition laid the groundwork for a sporting and cultural event with a promising future, combining mountain biking and hiking with the discovery of Brienne-le-Château's rich Napoleonic heritage.
