Edition 2025 — La Valdingue
7th edition of La Valdingue on the theme of the Seventh Art. Six fanfares including La Brass'Tille (Grenoble), Le Riah Brass Band (Voiron), Les Mango Coco (Paris), Les Furax (Renage) and La Lyre en Délire (Saint-Didier-de-Chalaronne competed in battles at the Combe site.

7th Edition: When Fanfares Make Their Cinema
The 7th edition of La Valdingue was held on August 23rd and 24th, 2025 in Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine, under the theme of the Seventh Art. This year, cinema was in the spotlight: the six participating fanfares adapted their costumes and repertoire to the universes of the big screen, offering a visually and musically colorful show.
Among the groups present were La Brass'Tille from Grenoble, the Riah Brass Band from Voiron, Les Mango Coco who traveled from Paris, Les Furax from Renage, and La Lyre en Délire from Saint-Didier-de-Chalaronne, totaling about a hundred musicians.
On Saturday afternoon, starting at 4 PM, the fanfares paraded through the neighborhoods of Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine and surrounding villages, notably in front of the La Dauphine brasserie, at the village café, and in front of the Château de Saint-Geoire. At 7 PM, all the groups gathered at the Combe site, dressed in the cinema theme, to perform the traditional joint opening piece.
The battles then followed late into the night, with the audience deciding the winner using the applause-meter. On Sunday morning, the awards ceremony took place at 11 AM in the church square in a friendly atmosphere, beautifully concluding this cinematic edition of La Valdingue.
