175th Edition — Two Bicentennials Celebrated
The 2025 edition of the Carrousel de Saumur marked a double exceptional anniversary: the bicentennial of the Cadre Noir and that of the 2nd Dragoon Regiment. The show, lasting over two hours, featured three major scenes retracing the epic of cavalry through the ages.
The first scene paid tribute to the Cadre Noir and its two hundred years of equestrian tradition. The second immersed the audience in the daily life of the Cavalry School, with demonstrations of modern combat training. The third offered a vibrant tribute to the 2nd Dragoon Regiment and the epic of the Standard, featuring vehicles from the Tank Museum.
