Le Printemps des Poètes dans l'Aisne

27th Edition: Poetry. Volcanic

The 27th edition of Le Printemps des Poètes took place from March 14 to 31, 2025 in Aisne, around the national theme “Poetry. Volcanic”. A rich program crossed the department, mobilizing media libraries, libraries, schools, and associations around the creative power of poetry.

In Saint-Quentin, the media library celebrated poets on Saturdays, March 8 and 15, with creative workshops (poetic flower pot for children aged 6 and up), writing workshops for adults, poetry readings for younger audiences, and a concert “Poems with Double Bass” by D. Rago. A carte blanche for the conservatory allowed for the fusion of music and poetry.

In Chauny, the André Malraux media library hosted the exhibition “Poèmes en Paysages” (Poems in Landscapes) from March 10 to April 1, a sensory and visual interpretation of the eponymous poetic collection. Writing and illustration workshops were held from March 12 to 28, while the calligrapher and artisan Ker Adili led calligraphy workshops from March 15 to 17, with a free public session on Wednesday, March 16.

In Mont-Notre-Dame, the association La Nostra organized a volcanic poetry contest in the village church on Sunday, March 23, at 2 p.m. The selected poems were recited by their authors or by volunteer performers. Students from the primary school and young musicians from the Val de l'Aisne music school offered a performance combining children's texts and music.
