27th Printemps des Poètes - "Poetry. Volcanic"

The 27th edition of Le Printemps des Poètes took place from March 14 to 31, 2025 around the theme "Poetry. Volcanic", exploring creative energy in its purest form, the eruption of imagination, and the force of life. Ariane Ascaride and Hippolyte Girardot were its patron and godmother.

In Saint-Étienne, the municipal media libraries presented a rich and entirely free program. The Tarentaize Media Library hosted the highlights of this edition, with author encounters, writing workshops, and poetic readings.

Beyond the city, the Departmental Media Library of the Loire coordinated events throughout the department, including poetic readings in Commelle-Vernay by the association "Demain dès l'aube" and a poetic reading club in Charlieu.

Saint-Étienne's cultural institutions — Couriot - Musée de la Mine, the Musée d'Art et d'Industrie, and the Maison du patrimoine et des lettres — participated in the event with thematic tours and poetic listening sessions, allowing visitors to discover the poetic universe of L'Astrée and its author, Honoré d'Urfé.
