"What if I dared… to tell a story" — 12th edition

The 12th edition of L'Émoi Photographique took place from April 5 to May 11, 2025, around the theme "What if I dared… to tell a story". This edition featured 22 exhibitions in eight locations in the center of Angoulême, inviting photographers to explore the narrative power of images.

The exhibitions were presented notably at the Hôtel Saint-Simon (with Isabelle Galay, Sophie Carles, Alain Licari, Gérard Staron, and Myriam Mayet on the first floor, and Catherine Chabert, Brigitte Manoukian, Julie Poncet, and Francis Leroy on the ground floor), as well as at the Musée d'Angoulême, the Espace Franquin, the Théâtre d'Angoulême, and in the public spaces of the city center.

The inaugural weekend of April 5 and 6 began with a tour of the exhibitions on Saturday from 11 am to 5:30 pm, followed by an opening reception at the Musée d'Angoulême at 5:30 pm. Sunday was dedicated to meetings with photographers at the exhibition venues.
